Golfing events are in full swing in Vietnam

Vietnam will be hosting a number of prestigious golf tournaments and a leading golf-themed convention in 2025.

The 11th edition of the annual Asia Golf Tourism Convention (AGTC) will return to Danang, at the heart of Vietnam’s Golf Coast, from 2-4 April 2025 and is expected to attract 350 delegates. AGTC will take place at the five-star Sheraton Grand Danang Resort & Convention Center, while Vietnam Golf Coast (VGC) clubs including Laguna Golf Lang Co, Montgomerie Links, and Ba Na Hills Golf Club will be organising pre- and post-event activities for more than 50 global representatives.

VGC says the region has established itself as a magnet for golf enthusiasts, with its world-class courses designed by legends such as Sir Nick Faldo (Laguna Golf Lang Co), Luke Donald (Ba Na Hills Golf Club), and Colin Montgomerie (Montgomerie Links), as well as Greg Norman and Robert Trent Jones Jr.

In April, the Asia Grand Final of the Faldo Series, the culmination of the Asia leg of the world’s most celebrated circuits for aspiring young golfers, will return to its home hub, the Sir Nick Faldo Signature Design at Laguna Golf Lang Co.

Other major golf tournaments include the Danang Invitational World Golf Championship, taking place from 2-12 June and the Vietnam World Masters Golf Championship, which will run from 7-13 September.

Golfers can also enjoy cultural activities, with the Danang International Fireworks Festival. set to take place from 31 May to 12 July, marking the 50th anniversary of Da Nang’s liberation.

Le Vo Hoang Van, club manager at Montgomerie Links said: “Central Vietnam continues to flourish as a destination where golfers can find a unique blend of championship courses, luxurious resorts and cultural treasures. The continual addition of new air routes and high-profile events further enhances our appeal, making it easier than ever for golfers worldwide to experience this extraordinary region.”

New air routes connecting Danang International Airport with destinations worldwide in 2025 include direct air services to New Delhi and Mumbai in India, to Nagoya and Osaka in Japan and to Doha in Qatar.
